Saltire Centre Interior

The Saltire Centre forms the centre piece of the university's campus. The Centre provides an ultra modern wireless learning space that encourages different forms of interactive and group learning as well as a single focus for all student support services. Students are able to use portable IT devices such as laptops, PDA's and tablet PCs anywhere in the building. The building houses the university library and doubles the number of study spaces for students on campus.

Classes for the MBA are taught in the Continuing Professional Development Centre, which was re-opened in 2007. The university invested over £1 million in its renovation, fitting out all of the classrooms with state of the art technology enabling lecturers and students to take advantage of an interactive learning environment.

An innovative and dynamic place for individual and group learning is the Real Learningcafé. Here, students can relax, chat, eat, drink and take the opportunity to develop computer skills, access online learning and network with other learners.

The Arc is a purpose-built sports centre which provides access to a range of health and fitness services and facilities, including activity halls, extensive gym facilities and a complementary services clinic.

The department of Vision Sciences is the only one of its kind in Scotland and is a centre of excellence in Optometry. The department also operates a state-of-the-art Eye Clinic on the university's campus.
