Networking Opportunities

Peer Networking

NetworkingYour peers on the programme bring a rich and varied range of experiences in terms of industry sector, professional discipline and background. Our programme is designed to promote mutual learning among peers through collaborative learning such as group exercises and assignments. Online discussion boards and activities are integrated into the teaching curriculum, giving you the opportunity to reflect and discuss with your peers at a time that is convenient to you.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

As a student on the Executive MBA you will have student membership in the Chartered Management Institute. The benefits of student membership include the opportunity to network with professional managers in diverse sectors and areas.  MBA students can participate in branch activities, contribute to the Management Forum and access online CPD.  Students may continue their membership after graduation and build on the networks already established.

Alumni

The Glasgow Caledonian Alumni Association maintains regular links with graduates of the university. Our links with former students keep us up-to-date with their achievements and Alumni often become directly involved in continuing roles within the university such as mentoring, participation in university activities and programmes, knowledge transfer partnerships, research, consultancy and fundraising.  The Alumni Association database is currently 40,000, growing by around 3,700 each year.

Masterclasses

For the past six years, Caledonian Business School has been running a highly successful series of Masterclasses as part of the overall programme of activity, which provides you with an opportunity to hear from internationally renowned speakers and to network with an extensive assembly of contacts in organisations throughout Scotland.  In 2006/2007 inspirational speakers addressing the theme of “Motivating in Challenging Times” were featured.
